The main Pink Dumbbells site and forum will be offline from midnight 12/29/2005 to around 10 pm 12/30/2005 for a software upgrade and a forum migration of the message board from The Training Journal. TTJ will be merging with Pink Dumbbells starting this January with TTJ founder HershyGirl joining Kyra and me as a forum admin here at PDB.
Welcome to all migrating TTJ members. We're happy to have you here and look forward to your participation on the PDB site!

The side-by-side before/after or front/side/back composite photo is a standard fixture in body transformation. It's a quick, neat way to see how a person has progressed over time. But for graphics editing newbies, how those composites are made can be a mystery. Here's a quick tutorial on basic compositing for the complete beginner.
Do you already have any of these programs installed on your computer?
- Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop Elements
- Corel/Jasc Paint Shop Pro (30 day free trial) or Paint Shop Pro
If not, download the trial of Paint Shop Pro and install it.
Even if you have never touched a graphics program before, the process is pretty easy once you've gone through the steps one time.

If you run into a technical error on the site, please do the following:
1. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies if your issue is related
to the site not "remembering" your login. (See how to do this in Internet Explorer.) Also, there are known
issues using Mambo (the content management system that runs Pink
Dumbbells) with the Safari and Mozilla web browsers. Internet Explorer
is recommended if you
have the "Help! I can't click on any Submit buttons!" problem
using either of those two browsers.
2. Search the forum's "Suggestions and Bugs" and "FAQ" areas FIRST to see if a solution has already been posted.
3. If you do not see your specific bug addressed, THEN post a new bug report in the "Suggestions and Bugs" area of the forum. If your issue is account-related, and you'd prefer not to discuss it in public, send Maggie (causticmuse) a private message with your problem.
4. In your bug report, please include the following information:
- Description of the bug/error and the the exact circumstances
under which it occurred (Ex: "I get an error when I try to submit a new
blog post, but only when I include an image link in my post.")
- Any error messages shown by the browser
- Type and version of web browser you were using
5. Please be as thorough as you can in describing how you got the error
to occur so I can attempt to reproduce it on my end. If I can't
reproduce the error, I cannot get the information I need to fix
it.
